Welcome to the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF)! Experience a great variety of flowers from Colombia, Ecuador and Kenya from 9 to 11 November in Vijfhuizen. Import Promotion Desk (IPD) invites you to its booth to get to know new partners and their offers.
Besides roses and alstromerias, a large variety of summer flowers will be showcased by Kenyan cut flower producers, such as hypericum and kangaroo paw. From Ecuador, there are rose growers, but also producers of carnations and callas at the IPD booth. In addition, one farm has specialised in the cultivation of proteas, which are otherwise mainly grown in South Africa. Colombia will present a diverse range of chrysanthemums, baby’s breath and hydrangeas at IFTF.
As an initiative for import promotion, IPD brings European buyers together with carefully selected exporters from developing and emerging countries. Although IPD is a German initiative and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), its free service is open to all flower buyers in the EU. Importers benefit from the on-site pre-selection and examination of the product range by IPD experts and can thus reduce their own sourcing costs.
The IPD team has carefully selected the flower farms in its programme, checked them according to criteria such as product quality, export readiness and capacity as well as fulfilment of international standards and certifications, and prepared them for the European market. At IFTF, European buyers can get to know the diverse and high-quality product range from the three IPD partner countries, expand their assortment or optimise their purchasing.
